Homeless Warriors

HOMELESS WARRIORS

We are
Multitudes
Young &
Old
Men &
Women
An army
Dethroned
Without the
Respect of
Generations

You cannot
See what
We’ve seen
The fine
Line between
Humanity
And disease
Destruction
Poverty

Death

So I beseech
Thee
America
To believe
To care
To help
To save

For we
Have lost
Our families
Brothers &
Sisters to
The grave
The enemies
Which you
In all your
Endless campaigns
Have created

The sons &
Daughters
Of your fate

You cannot
Will not
Ignore us
Those who
Have laid
Down our
Bodies &
Souls
Sacrificed our
Very existence
So you can
Watch television
And drink beer
Without a
Conscience

For there
Is no more glory
No Valhalla
In a country full
Of political
Vultures &
Fakes

You have
Betrayed &
Abandoned us
With our
Insanity &
Disabilities
Wounds &
Without anymore
Weapons to fight
Back without
Food or a
Place to rest
Our heads

You have
Disappeared
After Vietnam
Afghanistan
Iraq & Kuwait
Without a single

“Thank you”

For is
No place
Left for damaged
Warriors
In your self
Serving beliefs

And we
Are still fighting
For survival
Every day
Waiting
Praying for
One more
Victory

Unnoticed

Every Day

I watch every day what you are doing as a society. While you sit by and watch your Constitution being torn away from you, you willfully eat poisoned food, buy manufactured products no one needs and turn an uncaring eye away from millions of people suffering and dying all around you … Perhaps I should let you all in on a little secret. No one likes you in the future. This time period is looked at as being full of lazy, self-centered, civic-ally ignorant sheep. Perhaps you should be less concerned about me and more concerned about that.

A Better World …

coffeesmokes2.jpg

There are some days when I would just like to go to sleep for a hundred years and wake up in a better world where there is really good free coffee, no more wars, no more death and where poverty no longer exists. I also wouldn’t mind it if it was a world where poets and poetry were once more recognized for their work and good poetry once again in history got the attention it truly deserves.

Occupy, Or Under The Hunger Moon …

Occupy Movement, Hunger Moon Poem By R.M. Engelhardt

In early evening,

Jupiter in the sky,

Hunger moon tonight.

Where

The wolves

Of wall street

“Prey”

Upon

Each generation

Under any

Name

Monarch or

King, Politician

Or snake.

For history

Just seems to be

And never change

A wolf, a dog

Chasing it’s own tale

Into devestation

“Greed”

In early evening,

Jupiter in the sky,

Hunger moon tonight.

As all the people,

Tents are forced

To leave

With their statements

&

Beliefs.

And yet?

Who ever said

That

Life,

This world

Or universe

Was ever

Fair?

In early evening,

Jupiter in the sky,

Hunger moon tonight.

Where we all starve

For a better way,

A better life.

Usually realizing

The fates of Rome

&

Our kind

Far Far

Too late.
