Where There Is No Vision by R.M. Engelhardt

“Where there is no vision, the people perish; rather, cast off restraint, become ungovernable, cannot be reined in” ~ Exodus 32:22, 25

WHERE THERE IS NO VISION :
Is the new book of poetic-prose by poet/writer R.M. Engelhardt written over the last several months March ~June of 2020 coming off of his last book of mysticism & poetry “DarkLands”. His new work”Where There Is No Vision” poetically and vividly captures the days & these times of fear, racism, death and the coronavirus quarantine with all the rage, truth, anger, grieving & sadness of a divided, broken & exploited American people betrayed by their own sociopathic President and even by both parties of their own government who did nothing to stop his reign or the death surrounding us themselves. The year 2020 will be remembered as the year a great nation was almost destroyed by a tyrant and his supporters. “Where There Is No Vision” will also be remembered for it’s scathing cry out against a country & administration which refuses to change or even save it’s own people who are on the verge of a near revolution and a recognition of false heroes, values and the destruction of a fraudulent democracy ruled by wealth & race.

Be Warned.

A Reckoning is Coming.

I’m Just A Writer

I’M JUST A WRITER

One-day.

When all this horror ends. Death ends from this virus. When we have thrown all the walking talking garbage, excrement out of our Whitehouse, the lunatic sociopath and all his corporate friends and buddies. When we as the people who have the true power learn that we cannot trust let alone ever again follow both monied Republicans nor Democrats because of their complete incompetency during this time of mass desolation and we have finally renewed our freedom, re-established our Constitution and our liberty and have put in change/elected intelligent, experienced & actually educated and smart people whose job it will be to repair and heal all of the monsterous actions that Trump and his cabinet have done to our country, world and environment … our people and our nation then maybe one-day when I am very old I will start writing poems about beauty, love, nature and maybe even flowers. But until that day comes I will with all my heart and all my soul write poems that are true and I will fight the powers that be until this vision this hope finally comes true and becomes a reality. So until that day I will not change nor accept the condition of this country or world and neither should you.

Because America my friends is in ruins due to the fault of one single insane individual and we know what must be done whether your conscience chooses to accept it or not. For we have been used, lied to and betrayed. Thousands are now either unemployed or dead. And this is unforgivable.

So will you just watch all this happening from the comfort of your living room? Or are you a real human being who believes that this world should be safe and free for your children and many generations to come?

Me?

I’m just a writer.

But what are you?

Too Many Cigarettes Can Cause A Revolution

Too Many Cigarettes Can Cause A Revolution

If you swallow poison your heartbeat stands still, then stops to usher in our brother death. All welcome and warm.
It’s happened before for I am no stranger. I walk this weary world alone this mortal coil looking for whatever may be a truth, love oh God a love of God’s of flesh & blood & tribulation when there’s nothing else left. But I am no man of God but just a man of words and cigarettes, whiskey and poetry. Another madman who creates worlds with his pen. Sits in bars, places for hours waiting for the muse to guide me down my ancient path. My church is unknown to you and all you men of commerce you men of wealth and destruction and greed. I keep my one good eye upon you, watch you in all your darkness trying to hide your symphony of dalliances’ and crimes. Your sins against mankind. Your hands in the money pot your hands in wars and death and disease. You never see me but I’m there. Waiting. Waiting with words and my one true voice to take down you and yours your corrupt kingdoms your self made reputations and to judge you as you falsely judge me and mine. The poor and the working people. The starving masses and the rest of the world seeking sanctuary from far away lands. This is America. This is what humanity once meant and stood for. You’ve destroyed it. Used it. Used us and have filled up your pockets with lies and green. A green that the starving shall never see. You’re monsters and not people. Corporations and not our country tis of thee.
So I light up another cigarette and I make notes in my journal. And in my mind I send you on your way to hell with a smile and no regrets. You can ignore me but there are thousands like me. Me and mine. The people you despise, the people whose beliefs and lives don’t matter to you. But we’re waiting. We’re not leaving you are and we’re staying. No matter how many times you poison the well no matter how many stories that your cronies’ manufacture. We’re Americans. We’re the people who bust our asses everyday so garbage like you can live in castles. We are the slaves without a mention we are the tools with masters  unseen. Too many cigarettes can make you see the truth. Too many voices can cause a revolution. A revolution of words. A revolution of the light we shed upon you.

So if you swallow poison your heartbeat stands still, then stops to usher in our brother death. All welcome and warm.

But we aren’t ready we won’t go we won’t leave.

Not until we’ve burned you down

To nothing

See you in hell. Have a nice trip.
