  • In The Burning Light

    IN THE BURNING LIGHT

    All animals
    All creatures
    All beauty

    Dead.

    How could
    God let
    This happen?

    People asked

    And then
    God replied

    “Men did”

    And put
    Out the
    Fire with
    Rain

    As he
    Opened
    A door between
    The clouds
    Of smoke

    Where the
    Souls of all the
    Creatures

    Went

  • At The End of The World
    R.M. Engelhardt

They used to say this place is called the “End of the World“

And it has gone by many other names

    Like Apocalypse

    Rapture

    End Days

    And people have been talking
    About it forever, for centuries
    Putting it in books

    But if you choose
To believe in all of this,

Do nothing. Don’t stand. Don’t change.
Don’t resist with a true belief  in the
Human spirit, a greater love or faith

Then the End of The World
    Becomes a simple truth

    2020 VISION

    History
    Has been
    Built upon
    Bodies
    And blood

    Hate
    Ignorance
    Violence

    War

    We
    Have been
    Misguided

    Blind

    For
    So long

    Perhaps
    It’s time
    We looked
    Up into
    The heavens

    The stars

    And pull
    Them down
    To the earth

    For nothing
    Can hold us
    Down

    Save ourselves

    We have
    A long journey
    Ahead

    And a vision
    And a hope
    To make
    Truth

    Happy New Year …

  • SOLSTICE

    Today

    We bless all
    Things all darkness
    All light

    The days
    Have grown shorter
    And the night
    Stays to remind
    Us to rest & to
    Change our
    Ways for the
    Better

    For the future
    For humanity
    Animals children
    Our world

    Today
    We rid ourselves
    Of all negativity
    All sources of
    Hate

    So let us
    Do just that
    And bury them
    All beneath
    The frozen earth
    As we pray
    For better days

    And as our fires
    Grow in solace
    Theirs shall
    Disappear

    Back into
    The shadows
    To remain

  • Find Your Own Voice

Life, poetry in general is about experience and language. How you present this rare magic is key. The writer or poet is not an expert. It’s how you present it. In other words? Each God is a God and each man is a man or for that matter woman. A line is a line and beauty is beauty. Tragedy is tragedy and you own both. There are no workshops or religions that can ever teach you to be you or how to live or write. You must find these words by yourself and then put them down on paper or find your own way, your own path in the dark.

  • Retirement

    RETIREMENT

    Someday
    I will be an old
    Poet an old man
In an old suit a tie
    And a fedora hat
    Reading old poems
    About the old days
    To young kids who
    Won’t appreciate
    Poetry or jazz or
    The silence of the
    Mind nature or
    Music the mystic
    Or the magick of
    Life

    And it is
    Then at that
    Very moment
    When one of
    Them makes
    Another fart joke
    In the middle of
    My reading that
    I shall pause
    Smile & then with
    A magick incantation
    Turn into a fifty foot
    Serpent & eat them
    All in the school
    Auditorium telling
    The school principal
    That they all just
    Hated my poetry
And left as I let out
    A loud & infinite
    Belch and I get on
    The bus
    & leave

  • OF GOD, FATHER & SOUL

    And it is written:

    That the 3
    Wisemen followed a
    Star in the southern
    Sky that brought
    Them to South
    Carolina

    And there
    In 1933
    They found
    The child
    James

    The 1st
    Wiseman
    Gave him
    Rhythm

    The 2nd
    Wiseman
    Gave him
    Soul

    But the
    3rd Wiseman
    Gave him
    The most
    Important gift
    Of all

    HAAAA- Y !

    And it was
    Good

  • Sometimes in life we go through bouts of failure. No inspiration, the chips are down.

Maybe you’ve lost a friend or a loved one. Maybe you’re behind on the rent. But whatever you’re going through? Never stop writing. Never stop creating. Find those things that mean the most to you. Let them inspire you. Dig into the trenches and fight the war.

    Never surrender.

    That’s all. That’s it.

    Thanks for following my friends.

    Never surrender. Never give up.
