If you are a poet then you are a writer. Not a rapper or a rock star. It’s time that poets get noticed again for their work
and not get thrown in with the over-hyped media icons.

if we write poetry, we are poets — we can be poets to our very selves, at the very minimum. That is the beauty and democracy of poetry.
