But there are a few kids out there who would like to believe

That they are the self appointed

“New Saviors” of poetry

Millennials & Y’s & Z’s saying they created everything in the universe

Taking credit and shooting flames

Throwing blame but

Not knowing the true history

Of anything

At all

So here it is, and so it be

Punk? Hardcore ? Slam & Spoken Word was all created/invented before you were even born

By that “Generation”

You hate

Dis-own

Because you lack it’s originality in your boring Taylor Swift/anime pop culture Disney boy band kpop spun world

Nothing left

But our scraps on the table

Words & movements for you to use & regurgitate which you cannot comprehend another wheel stuck in the dirt

But Hey.

It’s not your fault that you’ve been brainwashed

And left here in America without a revolution or a fire

So don’t try to blame everyone or anyone who came before you for your lack of education or your lack of original truth or style

Blame yourselves

And take that sincere beauty & loss

And start something unheard & new

Worthy of bragging
